7th Day Update and Results

Evening all. It has been a tough week for me. Many people are without power, which makes this diet a little tricky. All those wonderful groceries with meats and fresh organic fruits and veggies mostly went to waste, sadly. It has been difficult to blog on electical devices with no power. I have, however, managed to stick to the Bouari protocol.

Today is my 7th day on the low calorie part of the Bouari program. As of this morning, in just one week, I see amazing results! I have lost 2.25 in off my upper arms, 2.5 in off my calves, 1.5 in off my neck, 1.25 in off my chest, 1.75 in off my waist, 2.25 in off my hips, 3 in off my thighs!!! I have lost 13 lbs so far!!! I expected to lose, but these results floored me! I have not cheated once and am following the protocol as instructed.

I am very happy and surprised to say that I have no hunger whatsoever. Don't get me wrong, when I pass the Oreos in the cupboard I take a second to think. Even though the thought crosses my mind initially, I feel like such a know it all about proteins, fats, sweeteners and calories, that once I read that label it actually turns me off. When I took another HCG product last year I was weak and never felt like I was getting enough food or nourishment. My experience with Bouari has the opposite effect. I have energy, a clear hear and no appetite. I LOVE Vitamin Water Zero, but I also wanted another type. I love Smart Water so much (because when cold, it tastes like snow) and I was told that Bouari approves of my favorite vapor distilled water.

I am more than impressed with Bouari on every level. I have called the clinic in Philadelphia many times, bugging them with questions and they are wonderful and very helpful. I am excited for what I have learned, inches lost, pounds lost and the weight is melting off lightning fast! As soon as I have enough charge, I will update my video blog.

Dreaded Scale

Wow...I have not been on a scale in 6 months, until today. To my dismay, I have gained 30lbs since the last time I stepped on a scale. Is this possible? I am not a couch potato and I have 2 very active children. It appears I have been drowning in a much deeper denial than I allowed myself to realize. I am ashamed and very embarrassed of myself. I am more upset that I have been comfortable enough to live this way.

Through this dark day, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am changing my life, starting today. If there was a lingering doubt of whether or not I would have the will to stick this out, it vanished when I stepped on that scale. There is a history of cancer and heart disease in my family...although they all look like they just stepped out of a magazine. I want to be around for my children and, someday, grandchildren. I WANT the Bouari program to teach me how to LIVE healthier.

Today, was my first day. I took the Bouari spray this morning a half hour before I took the B12 drops and I have the second dose of my spray under my tongue as I type this. The spray tastes like all the other sprays and drops. The B12 drops are not bad, however. The drops have a hint of sweetness. I individually bagged my steaks, chicken and shrimp into bags for each meal to make it easy. I also have fresh spinach and many organic fruits. I had never tried Perrier before today and my first experience was NOT pleasant. I tried it with lemon...still awful! I will be returning it for Vitamin Water Zero tomorrow. My youngest son tried the water, oblivious to what it was, and spit it out the moment it hit his tongue. It was very funny.

Although today was a "binge" day, I found myself with absolutely no hunger. I had to force myself to eat carbs and fats. I paid for eating the junk food tonight. My stomach is rejecting everything I ate today...TMI, sorry. This will not be as difficult as I psyched myself up to be. I can honestly see the Bouari program working long term. This realization alone is somewhat comforting.

I don't want to ramble, so I will end on these hopes...I hope I will be a healthier, more confident woman at the end of my time on this program. I hope I will learn to live a healthier lifestyle. I hope I will lose my fear of scales and mirrors. Lastly, I hope that I can help another woman surfing the internet who feels as I have felt for so long to know that there IS a program that WORKS! Until tomorrow, enjoy your evening.

A New Grocery List

I'm getting excited! I just received my Bouari package from the King of Prussia Bouari Clinic in Philadelphia, Pa. I received a two month supply which includes 2 Bouari Advantage Spray bottles, a bottle of Bouari Edge appetite suppressant pills, a bottle of sublingual B-12 drops and a thorough book of meals, recipes, acceptable foods, calories of different foods, a weight and measurement log, explanation of the Bouari program and a lesson on types of fats.

Let me back up and introduce myself. I am 30 yrs old. I have two children, ages 7 and 10. I had a thyroidectomy 5 yrs ago which has made my metabolism almost non-existent, but finally under control. Also, I am a stay at home mom. That is me in a nutshell. I bounced back from my first pregnancy, but gained 80 lbs with my second. I found out I had thyroid cancer while I was pregnant, so soon after delivering, I had my entire thyroid removed. This left me no chance of losing those 80 lbs. I don't feel like this whole body is mine. I feel like I am somewhere inside, but things spiraled out of control. I am going to change my life this Summer. Better late than never! Ok, back to the important stuff.

I understand what Bouari means by a lifestyle change, rather than a diet. Last year I tried HCG sublingual drops from another company and lost weight, but at a cost. I watched every calorie I ate, I felt horrible with headaches and hunger pains and after all that, I gained back EVERY pound I killed myself to lose! I don't want to live like that. I don't want to have to count calories every day for the rest of my life to maintain my weight loss and I want to have the energy to enjoy my weight loss. This is why I am impressed with Bouari.

Bouari teaches you how to eat healthier without obsessing about caloric intake. They teach you how to measure portions instead with just the palm of your hand. I haven't even started the spray yet and I already see a difference in my grocery list. Instead of using the kids as an excuse to buy cheeses, ice cream and other snacks, I am buying more organic fruits and vegetables, leaner meats and sweeteners to get away from sugar. Bouari gives you the tools and teaches you, then it is your job to use them. As I said, I am excited!

Tomorrow, I begin binge day one. The first two days are my memorial to the unhealthy foods I am saying good-bye to. I want to stop hiding from cameras and mirrors and feel comfortable in my own skin again. Wish me luck! I will update often.
